A difficult step, but the right one!
"Hi, it's Patrick from CedarCoast,
Today I’m out on Walker’s Point on Lake Muskoka,
and it’s one of those days I face with mixed emotions. We don’t take it lightly when it’s time to tear down an old cottage. There’s history in these buildings - years of memories and lots of family time on the water. But in this case, the cottage had truly reached the end of its life and was ready to come down.
The exciting part is what comes next: a new design that we can’t wait to share. The new cottage will be nestled right into the same spot, maintaining the connection to the site and the lake - while designing modern improvements to the structure, layout, and long-term durability.
And of course, we'll pack family fit and love right into the heart of this new home.
The new build will also be positioned a little farther back into the hill, which helps the cottage sit more naturally into the landscape while setting us up for a better overall footprint and flow.
We’ll be sharing updates as the project moves forward - from site work to framing and finishing details."
