This contemporary kitchen is butter smooth, easy on the eyes and yet completely workable. That’s the polished island in the front of this photo, complete with extra sink and faucet. Very handy! The high cabinet lighting contributes to the bright, airy feeling.

Timeless as the Canadian shield it’s seated on, this ultra modern home reveals its family bones. Main floor master. Upstairs divides into wings to accommodate visiting second (and third) generations. It’s surprising how many long for log home living, even now. These beautiful new variations on a familiar theme underscore the rugged spirit of the families who live in them. No one can design and build these new, improved classics like CedarCoast!

Nothing shows the true mix of ‘pioneer’ resolve and steadfast character as well as this striking home, with its flared timber and perfectly matched woods. This remarkable love of wood craftsmanship and home design is what started CedarCoast on this path almost 30 years ago.

This Great Room, designed in full blown timber style, with an eclectic mix of woods and stone, shows classic log styling enhanced with contemporary flair. Even taller than the soaring, stone fireplace is the dramatic centre timber column, spanning floor to ceiling, serving as this room’s signature focal point.

A beautiful antique lantern casts light and shadow onto this second floor landing, revealing the log balustrade and complimenting the natural floor and ceiling design choices. Isn’t the saddle an inspired touch?
